The Island Equine Veterinary Practice is a new mobile equine veterinary practice, based on the Isle of Wight. It is dedicated to the care of horses, ponies and donkeys and aims to provide islanders with a top quality, totally mobile service, as well as reasonable prices.
The practice has been set up by local married couple, Alex and Caroline Clarke.
Caroline is a local and grew up on the island. The two met at Liverpool University in 2001 and having spent years with long periods of time apart studying and working, they finally were married in 2010 at Newchurch on the Isle of Wight.
Though able to live together in recent years, frequently passing like ships in the night in their respective jobs, they longed to return to the island and family to settle down permanently, whilst continuing to offer their services as veterinary surgeons to the island's equine community.
They moved back to the island in December 2010 to pursue this goal, and spent the first part of that year building the business as well as travelling abroad and working in Africa with the Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust.

Their desire first and foremost is to provide a friendly, informal, but professional, quality and expert service to horse and donkey owners on the island.
Whilst we aim to provide the best possible service with all the latest treatments, diagnostics (digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy), and equipment (inluding state of the art dental equipment) we want to preserve the ethos of a sensible, practical approach to veterinary medicine.
